Vol. 9 No. 1 (2025): Bhutan Journal of Animal Science

June 2025: Volume 9, Issue 1 of the Bhutan Journal of Animal Science (BJAS) features a collection of peer-reviewed scientific contributions, including original research articles, review papers, and a technical short communication. The issue addresses a range of topics with the overarching objective of strengthening national food and nutrition security. Central to this goal is the enhancement of livestock production system resilience, with emphasis on improving access to safe and nutritious animal-sourced foods. The published studies explore advancements in key thematic areas such as animal nutrition, breeding and genetics, animal health, climate-resilient practices, and agribusiness development. All submissions were subjected to a rigorous peer-review process and made available online via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, facilitating the dissemination of evidence-based knowledge and innovations in animal science. Furthermore, the journal encourages the presentation of impact assessments from previous interventions, with the aim of deriving actionable insights to inform current and future livestock development programs. The journal is published and managed by National Livestock Research Centre, Bumthang.
